Flexibility is the only quality in the human body that diminishes over time. At early ages, humans present high flexibility and stretching capabilities, while presenting low strength, low resistance, low coordination etc. What does that mean? It means that childhood is the best period of time to exercise flexibility. If not well trained, teenagers can start to develop bad posture, back pains, muscle shortening and collateral effects (such as muscle cramps, muscle pain, movement limitation, stress). Being limited by our own body is one of the most stressful situations as body and mind are programmed to work hand in hand in guaranteeing body health and both have to be kept ACTIVE in order to achieve that goal. One particular muscle has great importance in guaranteeing a healthy and capable body: the hamstring.
Respect your instincts, respect your nature. Engage in a healthy competition with yourself trying to do better everyday. Accept other competitors as nature’s way to make YOU better. The harder the competition the better you’ll have to be, and that’s the amazing essence of nature. Moving everything and every being forward all together.
If someone gives you a compliment, someone chose between not saying anything and giving you the compliment out loud. Someone consciously chose to try to make your day a better day. Every simple and tiny gesture is always conscious and always chosen to be done instead of not doing it.
You can spend a whole day in your bed and you will see the next day that everything kept moving. In one day a lot of people got angry, a lot of people got in love, a lot of people had the greatest day of their lives, a lot of people had a terrible day… a lot of energy has been released in the air. The energy people put out can affect you in many different ways, from stomach disorder to headaches, the effects vary from individual to individual. We are energy sponges; but you always have the power to shield it and not absorb the undesired part of it. How? The power of perspective. Remember the half full / half empty vase? Well that, but with a lot more variants. Searching for different perspectives of the same picture is a lifelong journey into self knowledge and awareness. Simply because the more perspectives you are able to see, more possibilities you are able to evaluate.
